Alpha Legion Vs Imperial Guard
Deployment: In this Assassination mission the alpha legion must eliminate the imperial guard commander, whilst preserving their own force. They have infiltrated two squads of havocs with heavy bolters and missile launchers so they have clear firing lines into the guard positions. They also have a squad of cultists led by one of their lieutenants ready to assault the factory. The imperial guard start with their commander in the centre atop the capitol, missile launcher squads in the silos and factory, and the rest of the army scattered around occupying each of the buildings. Alpha Legion Turn 1: The havocs pick their targets, opening the battle with a fusillade that kills most of a missile and command squad. The cultists pile into the unsuspecting guardsmen, quickly butchering most and then chasing after the survivors.
