Moving Models

Deployment: In the summer of 1940 the French and Italian fleets clash in this hypothetical battle of the Ligurian Sea. We are once again using our straight action scenario, with the long table edges unscrollable representing the Corsican coast and the mainland. Both sides may receive reinforcements but they do not know when or where they will arrive. The Italians have deployed in 3 squadrons. The first comprising two heavy cruisers Zara and Bolzano , and led by the modern battleship Littorrio . The second made up of three light cruisers; Raimondo   Montecuculi , Scipione Africano , and Luigi   Cadorna . And the third comprising 3 destroyers. The French are in four squadrons. The first comprising four destroyers. The second two heavy cruisers; Dupleix and Colbert . The third two obsolete dreadnoughts; Bretagne and Provence . Deployment: In this scenario victory points are awarded for destroying enemy units and for capturing table quarters. The tyranids have concentrated their genestealers between the rubble and the warehouse. Up top around the capitol they have more genestealers and a carnifex, alongside the gargoyles in the tower. Infiltrating behind the tanks at the bottom they have the broodlord with his armoured genestealer retinue. The guard have an infantry platoon occupying the central factory. The company HQ with it's missile launcher support squads is located in the archive on the left. Protecting the bottom end of the factory is an armoured fist squad mounted in their chimera. In addition the guard have three infiltrating veteran squads in the top left, bottom left, and centre right of the city. Tyranid Turn 1: The carnifex lumbers forward and fires it's bio weapon into the guardsmen on the roof of the factory. Deployment: In this scenario an imperial guard detachment is trapped and surrounded by the Alpha legion, waiting for a relief force to arrive. The guard have an infantry platoon in the factory in the centre. They also have three infiltrating veteran squads, one in the capitol building one in the warehouse and one next to the archive. The alpha legion have a squad of chaos marines in the top left corner, and another led by a chaos lieutenant in the bottom left. A second chaos lieutenant leads a large cultist squad in the bottom right, whilst in the top right another cultist squad lurks behind the tanks. Finally a havoc squad with missile launchers is perched on top of the tanks. Alpha Legion Turn 1: In the bottom left the chaos marine squad with a meltagun emerge from behind the pipe and score a hit on the chimera, destroying it's multilaser.
