White Scars Vs Alpha Legion

Deployment: In this urban assault scenario both sides are attempting to secure the enemy base whilst defending their own. The white scars defend the tower with the stormseer and two strong bike units strung out in front, and a weaker one in the rubble on their right. Sheltering behind the buildings are two landspeeders. The alpha legion infiltrate one havoc squad into their base in the warehouse whilst another fights from the top of the silos, both are defended by units of cultists led by the twin chaos lieutenants. Chosen terminators and an obliterator wait in reserve.

Alpha Legion Turn 1: A curtain of highly effective missile launcher and heavy bolter fire rains down on the astartes bikers. The unit in the rubble is all but destroyed whilst another is crippled, casualties the small but elite white scars force can ill afford.

White Scars Turn 1: Screening themselves from the havocs in the warehouse, the space marines charge forward to regain the initiative, but their combined firepower kills only a single chaos marine. The bikers on the ground have more success, immolating several cultists.

The emboldened stormseer charges the chaos lieutenant in the silos, but fails to score any hits and is wounded in the single combat.

Alpha Legion Turn 2: The Terminators and Obliterator synchronize their arrival. Teleporting into position behind the densely packed white scars.

The Terminators concentrated fusillade of combi bolters score a lucky hit bringing down a land speeder, whilst the other loses its heavy flamer to fire from the havoc squad.

Meanwhile the remaining cultists surge forward from under the silos, inflicting no casualties but tying up a unit of bikers in a protracted melee.

White Scars Turn 2: The last intact unit of bikers surges boldly across the middle of the table to launch an assault on the alpha legion base. They massacre the havocs and secure the objective. For one glorious moment victory seems within their grasp, but their triumph is short lived as the stormseer is laid low by the traitor champion.

Alpha Legion Turn 3: Fresh from his victory over the stormseer, the chaos lieutenant charges to the aid of his cultists, easily hacking through the astartes bikers with his power sword.

The havocs in the silo redirect their fire down into the warehouse, while the other chaos lieutenants lines up his mob of cultists for an assault. After a few short seconds of bloody melee the white scars lie dead, and the warehouse retaken.

White Scars Turn 3: With scant few forces remaining, the white scars hold onto their pride and keep fighting. The remaining land speeder annihilates an obliterator as it attempts to enter their base.

Alpha Legion Turn 4: Dodging under swings from the sergeants power fist, the chaos lieutenant cuts down the last of the marine bikers.

Whilst the chosen terminators once again put their combi bolters to good use, destroying another land speeder.

With no enemies left surviving the traitors(?) are masters of this city. Alpha legion win!
