City of York Militia Vs Imperial Defence Force - Find
Turn 1: The City of York Militia are searching the area for a key piece inteligents. They must find the documents cached next to one of the blue tokens and then escape with them, under the noses of the fascist Imperial Defence Force. Mike leads his group along the edge of the house whilst Leo advances the gun group up the road into the cover of the hedges. Mildred and Steven have been dispatched on a flanking manoeuvre to the north.
A shot rings out from the house but then falls silent, as Constable Grubb curses at his jammed rifle. The lead militiaman on the road comes under fire as two more members of the Imperial Defence Force, Constables Varley and Bracket, pop up from behind the wall in the center.
Turn 2: Mike orders George and Henry to dash across the road and search for the objective. But as soon as they leave cover a fascist paramilitary opens up from the house with his automatic rifle, gunning both men down.
Even worse, as Leo leads his section across a gap in the hedgerow he catches a bullet in the stomach. Taking him out of the fight.
The two Constables keep up their deadly fire killing Anthony with his Chauchat, severely compromising the militia's firebase.
Finally some good news! Phil puts away his chocolate orange field rations long enough to snap a shot off at Sergeant flack as he emerges from the house, shattering his collarbone and taking him out of the fight.

Turn 3: The militiamen keep up a steady fire, slowly gaining a superiority and keeping the fascists heads down. Helen sneaks forward to the hedgerow with her rifled grenade, intent on dropping a bomb into the enemy building.
Desperately fumbling with her weapon, she misfires and the explosive lands mere feet away, riddling her with shrapnel.
Turn 4: As the relieved constable with the BAR leans out the window to inspect the explosion, Mike takes aim and puts a bullet through his arm. Meanwhile Mildred hops the wall and advances towards the house with Steven providing covering fire.
Sergeant McGarry emerges from his hiding place and forward behind the cover of the tree's.
Turn 5: With the threat from the house on this side eliminated, Tim the sniper slinks forward out of the tree's and toward the hedge line.
Turn 6: McGarry advances pistol raised through the tree's, but Phil once again finds his mark, knocking down another enemy NCO!
Meanwhile Tim and Mildred advance to their firing positions.
Turn 7: Tim takes careful aim with his scoped rifle, winging the cap Constable Bracket and leaving him a quivering wreck unable to continue the fight.
Constable Grubb crashes through the house to find a window overlooking the battle, but Mildred coolly ricochets a bullet off the sill when she see's his shadow, forcing him to duck for cover.
Turn 8: She bravely advances grenade at the ready, but it bounces off the wall to explode harmlessly in the road.
Gathering his wits, Grubb jumps up to the window and fires point blank, hitting Mildred square in the heart.
Meanwhile, as the firefight continues to rage on across the field, Steven see's the explosion from the grenade and runs forward towards the house, calling after Mildred.
Hearing the shouts, Grubb races back through the house. Spotting Steven in the open he levels his rifle... but the damn thing jams again!
Turn 9: The totally inexperienced Steven fires his rifle for the first time in anger. Forgetting all his training he drops to one knee and lets fly with five wildly inaccurate rounds in quick succession, before patting himself down in panic desperately searching for his extra clip.*
Grubb clears his jam sheltered behind the window. Emerging to neatly put a bullet through Stevens hip.
Phil spots what he thinks could be the objective, but the bundle of paper is only a letter home not the plans they are looking for.

As the fire temporarily slackens Constable Varley gets a lucky shot, grazing an arm, but the panic stricken Tim thinks he is mortally wounded and crawls off and out of the firefight.

Turn 10: Heart pounding, the rookie Corporal Grubb dashes across the house once again, emerging from the doorway and wriggling into a firing position under the hedge.

Turn 11: With covering fire from Phil keeping the fascists heads down, Mike boldly dashes out from his cover to seize what he thinks is the objective. Cursing when he realises its nothing but an old newspaper.

Risking a glance above the parapet Constable Varley spots mike in the open. His hurried round ricochets into Mike's shin as he drags himself back into cover.

Phil is the only effective the City of York Militia have left, and the objective is out of reach in the middle of a field overlooked by the fascist firebase. Leo clutching his guts in orders the Militia to pullback with their wounded. Imperial Defence Force win!
* This is a good example of how swingy the rules for Blackshirts and Bolsheviks can be, with poor dice rolls scuppering the best laid plans. Steven threw a 1 on his D10 movement leaving him stranded in the open, and then another 1 when firing meaning his weapon jammed!
